Watch Chopard 1000 Miglia Safari GMT & BMC

This is the first time that Chopard has designed a triply exclusive 25-piece limited series of the 1000 Miglia, featuring a completely new frosted safari beige dial on the front, while the back reveals a caliber different from the current collection.

The COSC-certified self-winding movement stands out with its automotive-inspired decoration and a 60-hour power reserve, displayed on an indicator reminiscent of a fuel gauge. The racing references continues on a perforated brown calfskin leather strap, with a black rubber lining finished to resemble a tire, as well as on the screw-lock crown engraved with a steering wheel. This is a logical source of inspiration for the 1000 Miglia, especially as the limited edition is produced in partnership with the Bonmont Motors Club, of which Chopard’s Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele is a member and whose founders are passionate watch enthusiasts.

The harmonious design of this collector's timepiece incorporates contrasts that enhance its readability, including hour-markers and hands painted with black Super-LumiNova® to echo the aluminum insert on the bezel. The 100-meter water-resistant case and folding clasp are cast in Lucent Steel™, a Chopard-patented eco-circular alloy.

While participants in the GMT Watch Safari and members of the Bonmont Motors Club were the first to see this new model, a third of this micro-production is reserved for other GMT readers.
